Despite a challenging economic climate through 2007 and increasing challenges for the foreseeable future, Welch’s Transport has continued its philosophy of strategic re-investment to ensure that its fleet continues to meet emissions targets in order to lessen the impact on the environment. Equally importantly the vehicle replacement program achieves improved reliability and a professional fleet image in order that the integrity of the customers’ image is upheld at delivery point. During 2008 capital investment is directed at the following:
