Welcome to Welch's Transport

Established in 1934, Welch’s Transport Ltd is one of several businesses belonging to Welch Group Holdings which is independently owned and directed by the Welch family. Welch’s Transport has a fleet of 130 vehicles and employs circa 180 staff with an annual turnover of circa £12m. It is made up by five strategically placed transport depots offering a one-stop-shop for a range of services as detailed in the panel on the left.
 
All Welch's Transport depots operate to RHA terms and conditions and are accredited to BS EN ISO9001:2000 offering a culture of continuous improvement. Office-based personnel are encouraged to engage in out-sourced training in Customer Relationship Management and a regular series of Management Development Programs in order to improve their skill-set and provide the best possible service to its client base. All Welch's Transport drivers are uniformed and are inducted and trained by an in-house driver trainer to provide the reassurance that comes with a consistency of high standards.
 
In order to make it easier to use Welch’s Transport, all clients have access to a web-based application which allows the direct entry of consignment data, consignment status and on-line POD retrieval. In addition, the payment of invoices is gathered by BACS transfer, significantly improving levels of service and efficiency.
